Coffee Talk is an eclectic online magazine for sharing ideas, experiences, and opinions.
I grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, attended Midwestern University, then got a bachelor’s degree in English, education, and journalism from Baylor University, and many years laer a master of education degree and doctoral studies in Spanish literature from Texas Tech.
I have been a teacher, university administrator, translator, and interpreter in Texas, Massachusetts, and Mexico. I am the mother of three, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of one. I now live in Cancún, Quintana Roo, México. Between Wichita Falls and Cancún, I lived in Guadalajara, Mexico, for twenty years, and Torreon, Mexico, for six, with varying periods in these Texas towns and cities: Angleton, Lamesa, Lubbock, and Sherman, plus a nine-year residence in Brookline, Massachusetts. I have traveled in Central and South America, Europe, and Asia, as well as the United States and Mexico.
